This is Cheslie Kryst, the gorgeous young woman that just won Miss USA.

She’s an attorney. She’s Black Excellence. Her win is a BIG win for young Black women who are killing it but invisible in mainstream media.

She represents the women I see everyday at Miss Black USA where 80% are in graduate and professional school. Three of this year’s contestants who will be competing in are also attorneys; two are in law school.

Representation matters. When one sister wins, we all win. This is a huge win for all us.
