There’s a difference between having a network and having a Power Circle.
A network claps for you. A Power Circle carries you.
In uncertain times when jobs are vanishing, DEI programs are disappearing, and the weight of it all feels too heavy to hold alone, Black women can’t afford to walk through this season isolated. We’ve carried too much for too long. And now, we need community that doesn’t just support us emotionally—but helps us rise strategically.
Let’s be real for a moment.
So many of us were taught to keep our heads down and work twice as hard in silence. To wear strength like armor. To clap for others while privately wondering where our breakthrough is.
But here’s what I’ve learned: You don’t get to your next level alone.
A Power Circle looks like this:
A sister who texts you a job lead you didn’t know existed
A friend who shares your name in rooms you haven’t entered yet
A mentor who doesn’t just inspire you, but equips you
A collective of women who pray, pitch, and push each other forward
I watched one woman lose her job overnight, no notice, no severance, no safety net.
But she had her Power Circle.
And within days, another woman in her circle offered her a position.
Not just a lifeline, a level up.
This is what we do when we’re connected.
We shift from survival to strategy.
From isolation to elevation.
From “me” to we.
If you’re feeling heavy, stuck, or uncertain right now, please hear this:
You don’t need a crowd. You need a circle.
The kind that sees you, supports you, and helps you build.
It’s not about networking. It’s about nurturing power where it’s planted.
