The 10,000 hour rule. Ever heard of it?
It’s the idea that the secret to mastery & success – in any field – is to practice your craft for 10,000 hours. That’s a long time. A massive commitment. The challenge of a lifetime.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve racked up over 100,000 hours of mentoring, coaching, and philanthropic service.
:I’ve launched international campaigns to raise awareness (and cash) for heart disease research.
:I’ve negotiated $2 million sponsorship deals with heads of foreign nations.
:I co-founded the first Diabetes Awareness Day in The Gambia, West Africa.
:I created the nation’s first scholarship pageant for African American women.
:I’ve secured over $300,000 in financial aid for young black scholars, artists & emerging leaders.
:I’ve received leadership & empowerment awards from The Lifetime Network, Jones New York, and was named a Goodwill Ambassador by the last living relative of Kunta Kinte.
:I’ve guided over 1,000 young women into high-powered & thrilling careers in entertainment, media, medicine, education, civic activism & beyond.
They don't call me the Queen of Service for nothing. And ladies — I'm just getting started.
This is 2023. For the first time in history, we’ve got a woman of color Vice President, a black woman on the top of FORBES Richest Women in Entertainment list, and sisters in positions of prestige & power at organizations like XEROX, Care USA, Microsoft, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and The World Bank.
With more media attention & opportunity than ever before, it’s time to redefine what it means to be a courageous, compassionate & CONFIDENT black woman, today.
We’ve got obstacles to overcome, stereotypes to smash, and trauma to release – no question about it.
It won’t be easy. But it will be worth it.
So my question for YOU is:
How BIG do you want to live?
Let’s get you over the 10,000-Hour mastery mark – doing the work you were born to do.
Your NEXT LEVEL life is closer than you think.
